Coming from an international background I enjoy getting to know new cultures. In a globalizing world I find that ‘sense of place’ is important and like integrating my knowledge of cultures into design. Good design is based on inherent knowledge, people and context. The quality of the architecture will improve as the architect grows and develops. I feel that I grow and develop by traveling and placing myself in new contexts, among new people, climates and situations. Therefore, I have lived in four countries, continuously challenging myself architecturally and learning new techniques, processes, thoughts and ideas. Applying this knowledge to the built environment, influencing the way people dwell and interact, is a privilege shared only by this profession.
